Offence committed: Corruption (Solicitation and Receipt of gratification)

Outcome: Convicted on charges of Corruption (Receipt of gratification of UGX 500,000) and acquitted on charges of Corruption (solicitation of gratification of UGX 500,000). He was sentenced to a fine of 180 Currency points (UGX 3,600,000) or three months’ imprisonment in default. He was further barred from holding a public office for 10 years and court ordered that the trap cash (UGX 500,000) be returned to the Inspectorate of Government.
