Norman Ijuka, an Engineer, National Water and Sewerage Corporation, Arua was charged with Corruption and Abuse of Office. On 27th February 2024 through plea bargain, he was convicted on charges of Abuse of Office and sentenced to fine of 75 currency points (UGX 1,500,000) in exchange for a custodial sentence and further ordered to pay back 325 (Three hundred and twenty five) UPVC PN 10 DN 100(4’’) water pipes to National Water and Sewerage Corporation (NWSC) within 30 days from the date of execution of the plea bargain Agreement.
