False Accounting by a Public Officer and Abuse of Office Conviction This matter was concluded on 8/06/2023 through plea bargain The accused person pleaded guilty to the charge of False Accounting by a Public Officer C/S 22 ACA ,2009 and was sentenced to a fine of UGX 1,300,000 (One million three hundred thousand) and in default to three years imprisonment. He further pleaded guilty to the charge of Abuse of Office C/S 11 ACA, 2009 and was sentenced to a fine of UGX 1,700,000 (One million seven hundred thousand) and in default to three years’ imprisonment. He undertook to refund the UGX 9,250,000 in issue in three equal instalments He was further ordered not to hold a public office for a period of 10 years from the date of conviction as provided under S.46 ACA.
