LUWEERO: The office of the Inspector General of Government has intervened in the interdiction of Luweero Chief Finance Officer, Godfrey Ssegawa Mulegeya.

Ssegawa was interdicted along with an accounts assistant in the works and technical services department, William Mbaziira.

Highly [placed sources in the district revealed yesterday that the office of the IGG has intervened and inspector Paul Othieno was assigned to see that the officers under investigation are charged for their wrong doing.

Othieno and his team have already started work by revisiting the earlier case in which Ssegawa was reinstated to office after interdiction.

Ssegawa was interdicted after accelerated promotion as an accountant to acting chief finance officer amidst questionable academic papers. He (Ssegawa) sought legal help on grounds that he was not given a fair hearing.
