The Inspector General of Government (IGG) has pinned top Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) bosses on being responsible for the decay at Entebbe International Airport (EIA).

In a damning report dated November 30, 2016, and addressed to the CAA Managing Director, the IGG implicates the EIA bosses led by the contracts committee chairman Eng. John Kagoro Tusubira in facilitating poor hygiene at Uganda’s only international airport through systematic flaws in the procurement of the two firms that were contracted to offer cleaning services at the grand aviation facility.

The report signed by Deputy IGG, Mariam Wangadya, follows protracted investigations that were commenced by the IGG on the orders of President Yoweri Museveni, on-spot visits by the then works minister and a whistle-blower’s petition regarding the poor hygiene at EIA.
