The row between the Inspector General of Government (IGG), Ms Irene Mulyagonja and Bank of Uganda Governor Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile has deepened.

Mulyagonja has revealed that she has widened her investigations at the Central Bank to include the verification of the wealth of Mutebile and the bank’s other top officials.

The other officials whose income, assets and liabilities that the Ombudsman is probing include the deputy governor, Louis Kasekende and other senior executive officers at the country’s top financial institution.
