The Inspector General of Government (IGG) has launched investigations into a tea project worth sh5b in Nebbi and Zombo districts.

According to a source, Inspectorate of Government investigators were shocked by the level of corruption among those handling the tea project.

The source added that some top district officials recorded statements. So far they include the RDCs of Nebbi and Zombo.

New Vision has learnt that the Office of the Auditor General is carrying out parallel investigations into the matter.
