Members of the land committee of Jinja Central Division, including their chairperson and a prominent businessman, have been summoned by the Inspector General of Government (IGG) on matters related to land fraud.

According to a charge sheet dated August 15,2016 and issued by Brenda Kimbugwe, the head of prosecutions at IGG, the officers summoned are Shafi Murisho, the chairperson are land committee Jinja central division; Edward Nnume, the secretary Jinja district land board; Godfrey Kironde and AbediSowale, who are both members of the area land committee.
