THE secretary to the Land Board Commission has been charged with disobeying orders of the Inspectorate of Government (IGG).
Appearing before Anti-Corruption Court Magistrate Esther Nasambu. Samuko Kintu Mubbala denied the charge.
Nasambu remanded Mubbala to Luzira prison until July 11 after he failed to present substantial sureties in court to stand for him. Mubbala was arrested yesterday at his office in Kampala by Police officers after failing to cooperate with the inspectorate. Prosecution, led by state attorney Rogers Kinobe, said Mubbala from April 14 and June 23, being employed as the secretary of the commission, willfully and without justification or excuse disobeyed orders of the inspectorate .
Mubbala had been required to produce specified documents and provide specific information relating to complaints being investigated by the IGG under reference number 23/2/11. Kinobe said on several occasions when Mubbala was approached by investigators to provide information, he declined.
