The Kasese Municipality Member of Parliament, Robert Centenary, has petitioned the Inspectorate of Government (IG) to investigate allegations of fraudulent land transactions by Kasese Municipal Council.

In a petition dated July 13, Centenary wants the IG to specifically investigate Wilfred Baluku, the Kasese municipal planner, who is being accused of selling peoples’ plots in the central business zone of Kasese town.

Centenary said he petitioned the IGG after receiving a number of complaints from Kasese residents. He said many people are suffering in Kasese because of the fraudulent land transactions.
