The NSSF saga has taken a new twist with fresh allegations claiming that the finance minister received election campaign funding from the Fund.
The allegations come barely days after the NSSF to management and deputy managing director Geraldine Ssali agreed to settle the long running administrative matters out of court, through the intervention of the finance minister, Matia Kasaija.
The allegations are contained in a two-page letter to the Inspector General of Government (IGG) by a person who described him/herself as a whistle-blower and who signed off as S.K. the person claimed corruption was the major cause of fighting at the NSSF.
In the letter, received by the IGG on May 5, 2016, the whistle-blower makes hair-raising accusations against the NSSF managing director, Richard Byarugaba, finance minister, Matia Kasaija as well as the Vision Group’s CEO, Robert Kabushenga.
