The Director Parliamentary Budget Office, Mr. Samuel Wanyaka Huxley, has been sent to the Anti-Corruption Division of the High Court to stand trial over alleged theft of over shs822m.
Mr Wanyaka was committed to the High Court by the Chief Magistrate of the Anti-Corruption Court, Ms Sarah Langa Siu, last Friday.
This was after prosecution (IGG) said the investigations into the case had been complete.
According to the indictment signed by the Acting Director of Legal Affairs at the IG, Ms Sarah Birungi, they will provide evidence at the trial to prove that indeed Mr. Wanyaka committed the offence.
โProsecution will strongly contend that Mr. Wanyaka has no defence for the offences and will pray that the honourable court convicts him,โ reads the indictment in part.
